Don’t you just love reading about inspirational women? Well meet Lynsi Torres 30 year old Owner/President of the In-N-Out Burger chain.
Lynsi is following in the footsteps of her grandparents. This is a true success story. I love when couples can work together….
Lynsi’s grandfather opened the first drive through hamburger stand in 1948 in Baldwin Park California. Lynsi’s grandmother Esther was the accountant for the business. They were mom and pop entrepreneurs!
Putting their heart and soul into the business they made sure they used the highest quality ingredients. It’s interesting to note that even today the burgers are made one at a time.
Lynsi became the President in 2010 running a company that now has sales of about $625 million! Bloomberg’s valuation of the company is $1.1 billion.

What would you do if you ran that kind of business? You might like to know that Lynsi is in the racing circuit! Car racing that is. With her 1970 Plymouth Barracuda or her 1984 Chevy Camaro she competes in the Nation Hot Rod Association. This speaks to us about her personality.
You might be thinking that you don’t make that type of money or you never could.
That’s not really the point. What I take away from this story is that this was a family business that was able to be turned owner to another family member.
What we are building in our businesses can be a family legacy. Our children may some day take over our businesses. When you think about it that way creating a sustainable business becomes even more important.
Doing what we love and offering quality like Lynsi’s grandparents builds others trust and confidence in what you have to offer. Large or small you don’t create a successful business unless you stay true to your values.
