The Walmart get on the shelf web series went really fast!
First, who won last week? It was the gadget Gibi, a way to find your pets.
When this product was pitched before the panel they menioned that this product could have many applications besides finding your pet and I think we’re going to see this product branch out into other areas.
One of the things you will hear as you watch these webisodes is that not only will the winning entrepreneur get their product on the shelf at Walmart, they will get valuable marketing to help spread the word.
You can have the best product, training, service etc but if you don’t market and market properly people won’t have the opportunity to benefit from them.
Having a product in Walmart as well as their knowledge and expertise when it comes to marketing will be a tremendous bemefit for the winner.
Here’s the last four entrepreneurs…
I hope that what you are seeing in these webisodes is the fact that anything is possible. That idea you have for a product could actually wind up on the shelf at Walmart!
What are the steps you need to take if you have an idea? First you need to do your research. Second you have to be willing to put in the time and resources needed to create your product. If so you will move on to the next steps of product development etc. Are you ready to take these first two steps?
As for this weeks products which are you going to vote for?
The product that stuck out in my mind was the eraseslet. There are several reasons why. First was the story of the mom and her reason behind creating the product. Second, if you have children you’ve faced this problem. The eraser getting used up and now what?
I like that this product is a bracelet and an eraser all in one.
It made me think…The other day I was using my pencil and what happened when I went to use the eraser? It wouldn’t work properly. Hmmm I think I need to go get an eraselet!
We’ll see what America thinks next week.
