Video marketing is a strategy every business needs to incorporate.
Why? Because Video is engaging. It’s a way to reach your audience like no other platform and build business relationships.
You might think I’m partial to video because I am an award winning videographer and creating videos is a large part of what Toni Nelson Means Business does.
That’s why I wanted to share with you what others are saying about video.
WireBuzz says, “Video is the trump card in the hand of the s search engine optimizer. Search engines are looking for signs that your content is engaging to determine if it is worth a high ranking. Nothing boosts engagement like video.”
See, I’m not the only one talking about how powerful using video in your marketing strategy can be.
Of course, in order for a video to be effective, you need to know the purpose for using it.
In other words is it to educate prospects about your products and services?
Is it to share reviews (testimonials).
How do you know exactly what to create?
Many times you will find a “Frequently Asked” page on a website. Those are the exact questions people need answers to.
Send out a survey and ask people what challenges, problems etc . they are facing.
Based on their response you can create videos to answer their questions.
When it comes to your products you can ask people why they haven’t purchased. What’s holding them back?
Create a video that eliminates their doubt and moves them forward in the decision-making process.
Videos are a great way to share “How To”. For example, you could have a video that shows how to upload to YouTube.
You could have a video that shows how to pin a boutonniere. Believe me when we were photographing and filming weddings you’d be surprised how many people didn’t know how to pin a boutonniere!
I remember watching a series of “how to videos” all about choosing the right garage door opener. The videos were well done and answered all the questions we had.
The possibilities are endless when it comes to video creation.
What will definitely grow this year is the use of live streaming.
Periscope is one platform for using live video.
Video boosts credibility. In my book The Secrets To Marketing Success: Marketing + P Factor + Video = $$$ I talk about using your personality on screen to attract your ideal customers.
That’s why I’m really excited about the opportunities you have to grow your brand awareness using video.
Facebook live is becoming easier for anyone to use.
I think more people will lean towards using this platform because they check-in and use Facebook daily.
What’s exciting is that you can use Facebook live from your computer! It’s a video option you will see me using more and more to grow brand awareness.

Not sure how to use these platforms? Work with me one on one to get your video marketing strategy in place.
Let’s talk equipment
You can get started with a high-quality webcam. Personally, I use the Logitech 920.
My microphone is the Blue Yeti.
Video engages and educates a consumer.
As a matter of fact, more than 34% of shoppers looking to buy apparel will purchase after watching an online marketing video compared to only 15% after watching a TV Ad.
Start looking at the websites you visit and you will see more and more companies using video to help you in the buying decision.
Storytelling is another important component when it comes to creating your videos and we will discuss that in another post so check back:)
