At the time of this writing, there’s a show called The Profit.
Marcus Lemonis AKA The Profit finds businesses, or they find him and based on his research/observations he decides whether to invest his money in them.
As you can imagine this takes a lot of time, effort, and broad shoulders for one man.
Enter in The Partner. This show details what Marcus is looking for in a partner. A partner who can help him accomplish more. A partner who doesn’t have to constantly call and ask him about making decisions.
One of my favorite quotes to share is:
One that’s unique and different than everyone else.
In episode two, we see five people who are vying for the job as The Partner.
Their task is to: Create a marketing campaign to show who they are as a brand.
Second: Marcus brings in two people to pitch their product. The panel must listen in and decide which Marcus is going to invest in.
What I want to focus on is the branding aspect
It was fascinating to see that some of the candidates couldn’t clearly define who they are and what they had to offer.
Marcus brought in professional photographers, and they were to have a photo shoot that depicted what their brand stood for.
You could see the wheels turning in their minds, but you also saw the struggle they had.
One candidate said he had “heart” but so did everyone else. What was going to make him stand out?
Once their photo shoot was completed, a giant poster was going to be created for them. That poster would then be voted on by the general public.
Could people see who they are and what they stood for?
This raises a question for you. What kind of image do you want to portray? What do you want people to think of when they see your “poster?”
When I wrote my first book Sexy, Savvy and Successful: A Woman’s Guide On How To Start A Business, Gain Financial Freedom and Buy More Shoes! I had a message I wanted to convey.
One of Confidence and success. I thought long and hard about the cover for my book and came up with a photo of me holding money (which equates to success) wearing expensive looking jewelry (equates to confidence) and then a pair of shoes.
As a woman I love shoes, and if you don’t have money you don’t have the freedom to do things you want to do like buy shoes!
You are your brand and if people don’t see that, if they don’t have the confidence that you can lead them to where they need to go then you have a long hard road ahead of you.
If your business is not clearly defined. If you can’t even convey who you are then how are other people supposed to know.
Everyone on this episode was to write some words that conveyed their message.
Here’s what I want you to do: write down words that convey your message.
Look at what you wrote and why you wrote it.
Think about having a photo shoot session. What kind of images would you like to convey? Are they going to tell the story of who you are and what you do? Will they pull people in and make them say “yes” to whatever it is you are looking for them to do?
Let’s take me for example. People will not invest their hard earned money in working with me as a business success coach if they don’t have the confidence that I can provide them with the help and proper tools to succeed.
That’s why I provide “tools” like the Entrepreneur Hub Club and Done For You Marketing Solutions so you can speed up the process of being a success in business.
You see, I’ve been where you are. I know the struggles you are going through.
What I also know is that just like a house needs a foundation so does your business.
If you can’t define yourself in the business world and life, in general, you are building your business on sandy soil. You know what happens to a house built in the sand? It washes away.
Tell me if I’m wrong, but I think you want to build a business on a solid foundation. One that’s going to enable you to weather the storms and changing tides.
One of the best ways I can help you is by first showing you what to do. The best part? I’m going to do this for free.
If you are serious about building a business correctly from the start here’s what I want you to do.
Go through my Grow Your Brand Authority Toolkit. You will find the must have ten steps to start building the business of your dreams.
I will also be sending you 11 days of training around building your brand.
This doesn’t have to be hard or difficult.
As I said, this is a free training, however, don’t let that fool you. I think that with all the “free” training out there people tend to download them and let them sit on their hard drive.
If that’s you then don’t sign up for this. What I am looking for is real action takers. People who are saying things like, “Won’t somebody help me?” “Would someone throw me a lifeline?”
Here’s your lifeline. Whether it leads you to working with me one on one or in my Entrepreneur Hub Club is not at the heart of this.
At one time I was where you are asking for help and couldn’t find it.
Here’s the help you need: Grow Your Brand Authority Toolkit
Go through it. Read every email. Make sure you open my Business Success Newsletter that comes out every Tuesday.
Discover what it takes to define your brand by going through my Branding Toolkit
The bottoms line is that I want you to be Savvy and Successful!
P.S. If you’ve downloaded the toolkit and did nothing with it, go back and start now. No one will hand you a fully operational business. You have to go out there and create it.
