Are you looking to grow your brand? Do you want to be considered an influencer?
If so the social media tips I share in this video will be extremely helpful.
Many years ago I worked with a company who was having some technical difficulties with their computers.
They often talked about bringing in the “experts”.
The technicians were great at solving the problems that came up. As a matter of fact they always seemed to know the latest ways to troubleshoot the problem.
In essence these people were considered the authority (influencers).
Today many people mistakenly think that all they need to do is build a huge following on social media and they will be successful.
There’s so much more to it than that.
You want followers but more than anything you want active followers. They take the time to comment and share your content.
How do you get people to engage with you?
First, remember that social media is about sharing content.
Be a good listener
Listen and read the comments that your fans post and then answer them. When you do this you are showing them that you are interested in what they have to say.
This goes a long way for building the know, like and trust factor as well as improve your power of influence.
My girlfriend’s brother emulated a friend of ours. The way he spoke, his mannerisms, everything. The reason he did this was because he admired him.
The problem was that he wasn’t that person. After about 9 months he couldn’t keep up the “act” any longer.
The point here is: [envoke_twitter_link]be yourself when using social media.[/envoke_twitter_link]
It’s up to you to know what your brand message is and then convey that to your followers.
[envoke_twitter_link]It’s always about sharing and providing quality content[/envoke_twitter_link].
In my book: The Secret Equation To Attracting More Clients: Marketing+ P Factor+ Video = $$$ I talk about personality based marketing.
[envoke_twitter_link]Infuse your personality into your marketing[/envoke_twitter_link]. This will help people know that you are a real person.
Instead of worrying about being the next best influencer, focus on adding your own style and personality into your marketing messages.
For example you will see me use “cartoon” characters on my site. That’s part of the “fun” side of me.
I love visuals not just because it’s part of my business but because I’m a very visual person.
When I look at things I tend to see the “pictures”, the story.
That’s what makes my business different than the next.
When clients have me create their videos or visual graphics they know what my style is as well as what I can offer with my business coaching.
Exposing a fun side to your business is a good thing. It shows you are approachable.
Being who you are and offering what you do as only you can will have you being an influencer.
