Today more than ever business owners have to understand how social media influences buyers.
Online users spend 27% of their time on social media sites.
I think we all know that Facebook is huge! As a matter of fact the number of people who have a Facebook account is about 85% of all online users and 49% have an active Twitter account.
People are online looking and buying.
What influences them? Sometimes it’s the reviews they are reading.
Why? It’s social proof!
In another post I talked about QVC and how they have testimonials on all of their products. This helps buyers make a decision.
Have you ever gone to a site and read the reviews before you made a purchase? I know I have.
As a matter of fact I purchased a makeup foundation. I watched the live presentation and then went to the reviews. The majority were favorable. There were a few negative reviews but that’s going to happen. Not everyone is going to love a product.
The bottom line? The product is as good if not better than what the reviews said.
By offering high quality products and providing great customer service you can easily brand your business online.
