When you have a business it means you need to understand your ideal customers/clients.
Once you know who they are, what they need and how you can help them you start to reach out to them in a variety of ways.
In order to capture their attention you need to use visuals.
Take a look at the statistics in this infographic:
Marketing your business is extremely important as it’s the way to communicate your message to the world. You need to have your message, your story, your statement placed in front of your ideal audience.
As you can see from the infographic the use of visuals will capture the attention of your ideal customers since 90% of the information transmitted to the brain is through visuals.
It’s not surprising that 40% of people respond better to images than plain text. A picture (visual) is worth a 1,000 words.
Using images to tell your story is powerful since our eyes have 70% of our sensory receptors. Note that images are processed 60,000 times faster than plain text.
When I sent out a poll about learning styles I found it interesting that many people said they were visual learners. With the statistic of 65% being visual learners you might think the only way to go is to create video courses and in many cases that’s true.
Here’s a word of caution: don’t discount audio learning because 50% of audiences are persuaded by verbal presentations so if you are using tele classes you are still going to be able to help people solve their problems.
The bottoms line is take into account how visual we are. Think about the fact that 85% of people believe color makes it easier to understand charts and graphs.
Look at your website and ask yourself if it’s appealing and engaging from your visitors point of view.
What statistic did you find interesting?
