Today’s quick tip video has to do with our opt-in.
When you or your web designer created your website did you take the time to create an opt-in form via your email service provider?
Creating an opt-in and having it on your website is what’s going to make your website a lead generating machine.
You want to be able to capture people’s name and email so that you can continue the conversation.
Your form should be on every page of your website as well as at the end of your blog post. Give people every opportunity to get on your list.
Once a person is on your email list you have the opportunity to build a business relationship. What that means is that over time those on your list will get to know, like and trust you.
That’s extremely important especially if you are trying to sell a product or service.
Think about your last purchase. Didn’t you do research? You wanted to make sure you were getting value. Maybe you wanted to make sure they offered great customer service.
That’s how people are going to view you. They want to know what you will deliver, how you will deliver it and what your customer service is like.
You help them make that decision by communicating on a regular basis via your newsletter.
This is something you need to be committed to.
You can’t decide to get people on your list and then email them 6 months later. That’s not what list building is about. It’s about getting people on your list and then as I’ve said before nurturing and educating them.
Does it take time? Yes, but if you want to grow your brand it’s necessary.
