You need to look for every opportunity to create brand awareness.
Over the past 25 years or so I’ve been to a number of networking events and have seen an interesting trend.
Many business owners view networking events as a place to leave their business card and get business.
They don’t use it as a business building tool.
I’ve heard people say they “give up” because they attended an event and didn’t get any business.
You need to approach networking and growing your brand awareness in different ways.
Watch this video to see what I mean.
Always keep in mind that networking events are a way to build business relationships.
I have been to many events where I took photos and then created a blog post.
We’ve even gone to events, taken a video and then posted it on our site and offered to let others post it on theirs.
That’s a brand awareness strategy.
A couple of years ago I attended a Mentoring Monday event.
I wrote a blog post about it, posted some images and the following year my blog post was tweeted out by the event manager.
Blogging really does work!
One year we filmed The World’s Richest Tarpon Tournament on Boca Grande. We posted that video as well as allowed it to be embedded on other sites.
The video we created was able to get in front of a larger audience. What did that do? It created brand awareness.
Look for any and all opportunities to grow your brand awareness.
