Hello, I’m Toni Nelson. A mom who took a vacuum, a bottle of Fantastic and cleaned my way to a 6 figure business before selling it.
When I started my first business, I didn’t have training or a guide book. Google and YouTube didn’t exist. Everything I learned was by researching, studying and making mistakes.
What I did have was drive and ambition. My goal was to be there for my daughter when she got home from school.
You see, it all came about one day when I went to pick my daughter up from the sitter.
I was fortunate enough to have a good friend watch her while I was at work. One day as I drove down the driveway my friend Sue came running out all excited. My daughter had been asked to read a paper she had written in front of the whole school which was an honor no one else ever had.
Sue, couldn’t contain herself and spilled the beans on everything. She had me promise to be surprised when my daughter told me herself.
I was ready to win the academy award for looking surprised. As I started up the driveway with my daughter I asked her how her day was. Her reply? “Ok.” Right in the middle of the driveway I stopped the car, turned to her and said, “Nothing exciting happened today at school?” She thought a moment and then said, “Oh, I got to read my paper in front of the whole school. What’s for dinner?”
My heart sank. I missed out on one of the most important moments in her life. Although I loved Sue dearly I wanted to be the one who heard first hand what happened each day when she came home from school.
When I got home I told my husband somehow, some way I’m going to start my own business so I could be there for my daughter.
All my friends kept telling me I couldn’t start my own business. To be honest with you, that wasn’t the response I expected from them. As a matter of fact, I thought they’d be behind me 100%.
The only person who did believe in me was my husband.
Within 6 months of starting my business, those same friends came back to me looking for help and advice on how to start their own business!
Quite a change in attitude wouldn’t you say?
The business was so successful I had my husband quit his job and join me.!
Over time I was able to bring that business to a 6 figure income before selling it. Pretty awesome for someone who was told they couldn’t do it!
After selling that business I was able to pursue my passion for photography, videography, and writing.
Today I am thrilled and excited to say I’m an Award Winning Videographer/Photographer,writer, author, speaker, business success coach – consultant and winner of Start-Up Nation Top 100 Home Based Businesses. As a matter of fact, I ranked in the top 10 for most innovative.
Then I got the call that changed it all.
A young mom called me crying. She needed my help and guidance to start a business. She didn’t wan to go back to the 9 to 5 grind. It was her goal to stay home with her baby. My heart went out to her. Instantly my mind flashed back to my own experience. I knew this was what I was meant to do. As always I went into action mode and started helping this mom. I decided to write a simple step by step book for other women. One that could be consumed in a matter of hours and then acted upon. That book is Sexy Savvy and Successful: A Woman’s Guide On How To Start A Business, Gain Financial Freedom, and Buy More Shoes!
It was at this time that I realized for years I had been doing what came naturally to me for years. Helping others solve their problem of starting and growing a successful business.
My focus changed to helping other female entrepreneurs and service based businesses by providing step by step marketing tools and resources they needed to build a brand that redefines everything.
My next objective was to package my knowledge and expertise into video and audio training courses so that I could help reach even more people who wanted to start or grow their business. These trainings can help you gain or sharpen your skills. That’s why I created the Entrepreneur Hub Club This is the site I wished I had when I started my business. It’s a place not only for business training, a library of past training but a place where you can ask your business related question.
What I also realized was that it’s not the desire to start or grow a business that holds people back. It’s not having the right tools. Tools that can help you get up and running. Tools that can help you brand your business.

Since writing my first book I’ve gone on to write The Secret Equation To Attracting More Clients and 101 Ways To Marketing Your Business For Free or Low Cost. Book number three is in the works!
