If you are starting to look into using video marketing to grow your business you are wise indeed.
For years I’ve met business owners who said using videos was a fad.
Others tried using video and said they failed.
They weren’t going about it the right way.
You see, it’s not about creating any video. It’s about creating the right video. The one that gets the attention of your audience.
The other day I had someone ask me to critique their video.
This can be pretty tricky because you don’t know if they really want helpful tips or not.
If you are going to be in the video you absolutely need to show your personality. Not the personality of someone else.
Doctor Phil talks about “being real” and that’s how you have to be in your videos.
I’ll give you are great example.
I went to a women’s networking meeting. I met someone who I have seen sharing video tips.
Can I be real? She was downright rude! Not just to me but to just about everyone who she engaged with.
The persona she portrayed on her videos was not the person she really was.
That should help you to see that you can’t “fake” who you really are.
I put together this infographic to help you see more reasons to use video.
Have you ever shopped on QVC?
In many instances they have a video replay of their products.
Why? In case you missed the live show you can go back and see what the features and benefits are to using that particular product.
That’s a great use of video.
Obviously they realize[envoke_twitter_link] people are 72 more likely to make a purchase after watching a video[/envoke_twitter_link].
46% of the people who viewed a video took some type of action.
[envoke_twitter_link]People spend 88% more time on site with video.[/envoke_twitter_link]
The other day I was looking for some information and I decided to do a video search. I not only found my answer but checked out a few other videos as well.
Tip: Don’t make one video. Think of a creating brand awareness by using a series of videos.
[envoke_twitter_link]Videos can help you tell your story so that people can relate to you[/envoke_twitter_link].
When my parents started their business it was all about being different than the larger impersonal companies. People responded really well to that.
It’s something that many business owners have forgotten. It’s not about you it’s about the customers.
There’s a shift we are seeing and it’s going back to the basics.
[envoke_twitter_link]People want to do business with people.[/envoke_twitter_link]
[envoke_twitter_link]Video can be that virtual handshake that gets you in front of your ideal customers. [/envoke_twitter_link]
