Sometimes we get so involved with our online marketing efforts that we forget to look in our own area.
It’s especially helpful to find ways to market locally when you’ve published a book or created an online course.
As you know I published my book Sexy, Savvy And Successful (It’s available to the right:) just a few months ago and was excited to have it reach a number 2 ranking on Amazon!
Today I’ve accomplished another one of my goals for 2013 which was to create my course on “How To Start A Business”.
My goal is to empower other women to not only strart their businesses but be seen and heard on multiple platforms.
You might find it fascinating to know that over 550 women owned firms are started EVERY day! Talk about women in power!
How can you market to your business?
As I mentioned in my post yesterday I attended a networking event geared towards getting your business in front of local media. There weren’t any “specific” people we were given to contact just some ideas of who we might want to reach out to.
Then I found this great video and thought I would share it. Check out the 5 ways to market your business locally from JJ Rambert, Host, MSNBC
Now it’s time for all of us to put on our investigators cap and find the right journalists, morning shows etc to try and get the message out about our businesses and all that we have to offer.
If you know of local people in your are post their information below. Another women who comes along and finds this post would appreciate it I’m sure!
Have you been able to reach out to local newspapers or TV shows with success?
Leave your thoughts and comments below.
Be sure to share this on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and any other social networking site.
Be Savvy And Successful!
