3 Steps To Claiming How Powerful You Really Are!
I’ve said this before and have written articles that say this: You are more powerful than you realize. You can do anything, be anything.
When I found this video it made me think of the things that were said to me when I was growing up. The thought flashed backed to when I told my parents I wrote a children’s story (I was about 10). They laughed and said, “No you didn’t. Your sister could write a story but not you.” Here we are all those years later and I have written and published 3 books and numerous e-books and reports. I’m more powerful than I realized.
None of us as parents are perfect but I tried really hard to make sure my daughter always knew she was smart and talented and that she could overcome any obstacle if she wanted to.
Looking at this video also made me think that some of the women I talk to who want to start a business and are talented but fearful they won’t succeed. Could it be they were told they couldn’t do it? Would these roadblocks exist if they were told they were more powerful than they realized?
For many women it takes re-thinking, re-inventing, re-launching to become who they feel they were always meant to be. The interesting thing is that this happens at all ages and stages. From the mom in her 20’s to the empty nester in her 50’s.
So what do you need to do in order to break free from some of the things you might have been told when you were younger? The things that are holding you back from attaining your dreams?
Step One: Take out a piece of paper and a pen. Write done everything and I mean everything that you’ve accomplished. It doesn’t matter how small you think it is. Write it down.
Step Two: The first thing you do each day is to read that list. Celebrate what your accomplishments are. It doesn’t matter if no one else does. This is about you. You are more powerful than you realize.
Step Three: Add more things to your list. You might be thinking there isn’t anything else. Here’s what’s going to happen. You will get to step two and you will start building your confidence. The more confidence you have the more accomplishments you have to write down.
