Are you engaging with your customers on mobile devices? Mobile Engagement
Hopefully you realize that businesses are now driven by relationships with our customers. This is due in part to the growing usage of mobile devices. Now because of increased interest their are now more expenditures for mobile engagement.
Rather than being a support medium mobile is THE medium. With the growing popularity of smart phones and tablets if your brand is inaccessible from any of these then you are failing to reach 60-70% of your prospective customers.
A smart investment is to invest in mobile customer engagement as an alternative platform. With all the online noise you need to market to the on the go consumer.
Here are some reasons to increase your mobile customer engagement.
1) There are 7 billion people on the planet ( that number changes by the minute). Of those 7 billion people 5.1 billion (72.8%) are mobile users and 91% are exposed to their phones 24/7.
2) People accessing Facebook (60%) do so via their phone. As you can easily see with these statistics, mobile engagement has a wide and penetrating capacity which in turn will help your business in reaching your potential customers.
Along with the growth of the mobile market comes the mobile ad. There are a number of mobile engagement marketing tools being used to help with your branding and customer communication.
When it comes to increasing your online visibility, driving more sales, building brand awareness and building community loyalty, mobile marketing tools are available for you to achieve your goals.
3) We talk about responsiveness and mobile marketing has a higher response rate because it is more accessible, user friendly and more personable.
Making customers jump through hoops is not the way to get them to engage with you. When you engage them via mobile it is a relatively easier way of connecting with therm.
Connecting in this way enables you to send personal messages about your new products or services without it seeming like you are being pushy.
You can start building your own community of loyal followers.
A number one way to engage your customers is to conduct a poll or survey. This is a great way for you to receive valuable feedback as well as gather insights in understanding your customers better.
Using a poll or survey can also help you to understand your customers buying habits.
What better way to find out how you can improve your product and services then by getting feedback from your customers. Let them tell you how easy or not your product is to use.
Take a look around you. Go into any store or restaurant and you will see people using their mobile phones.
It might surprise you to find out that 71% of mobile consumers do their research on their smartphones. I would have to say I am in that percentage. I’m always grabbing my phone for research purposes. It’s like my virtual assistant.
Since it’s becoming more difficult to market to your customers you need to communicate with them in a way that’s engaging.
You need to start to harness mobile technology so it can increase your reach.
In my next post I’ll talk about QR Codes and customer engagement.
