Last week I mentioned I was going to post a series of articles on getting traffic to your website.
I started with 7 ways to get offline traffic to your website. If you didn’t see it check it out.
In this post I’m sharing 3 online ways to get traffic to your website.
I’ve seen a lot of people work really hard at blogging. They create great articles but fall short of telling others about it.
What do I mean?
If you blog regularly are you sharing your posts strategically?
Twitter: We all know how fast the twitter stream can go. You want to post your blog post at least 3 times during the day in order to capture your followers attention. Not everyone will see it the first or second time. Hopefully the third times a charm. It’s all about gaining maximum exposure. I have used this strategy and have gotten more followers because of it.
LinkedIn: You want to make sure that you not only post your blog info on your feed but also post it in the various groups you belong to. This can potentially bring others back to your site and give you more exposure. The more people see you posting the more opportunities you have to share your valuable content. Not only that but the more people see your articles the more you become the expert and someone they want to connect with.
Facebook: Make sure you post your blog content on Facebook. I’ve read a number of articles dealing with the time to post on Facebook. A new study from IDC Research released this week found that 80% of smartphone users check their mobile devices within 15 minutes of waking up each morning. Consider this: Your Facebook fans could be checking their news feed at this time. When you post your blog to Facebook make sure that you have an image to display. Studies show that posts with images get shares and likes more often than plain text.
Not to be over looked on Facebook to is the opportunity to post your blog within the private groups you belong to. Just be sure to check before doing this. Direct people back to your website to comment.
That’s another three ways to get traffic to your blog and these strategies cost zero dollars. That being said it will cost you time but it’s time well spent.
Here’s a tip: Did you know many businesses quit just when they are on the cusp of succeeding? It’s going to take time for your business to grow. Blogging regularly and on multiple platforms can result in many rewards such as guest blogging being asked to be on a telesummit and so much more. Don’t give up!
Are you utilizing these social media sites as sited above?
