As you started the new year you probably started off with a check list of things to do. I’m going to share with you 3 of what I feel are the tops must do’s for your business.
We’ve talked about at least one of these “must do’s” for 2013 and that has to do with your website. Let’s go over that briefly first.
1) You need to make sure your website is up to date. Have you checked all the links on your site to make sure they are working? Do you have an opt in page with your free give away? What about a video to engage people? If you haven’t done these things start mapping out your calendar to get these items done.
2) The second “must do” has to do with social media. There are so many social media sites but the one I want you to think about is Google+. Google created this super platform and businesses can benefit immensely from this. We’ll be discussing Google plus more on www.ToniNelsonMeansBusiness.com. Whatever platform you choose try to do your best learning and implementing the strategies.
3) Improve your customer service. More and more people want to know that the company they are dealing with cares about them and their concerns. Do your emails phone conversations convey this? I often think about the times I’ve tried to find a new dentist. I would call to ask a few questions and if the staff was rude and unfriendly (that actually did happen) I wouldn’t go to that dentist. If you have staff that answer the phone what is their phone presence like? Is it helpful, friendly, caring? You can’t just leave it up to chance. It’s your responsibility to train your staff. Remember they represent you and your company and if they are rude, uncaring etc. this could reflect poorly on you and it won’t matter how wonderful you are to work with.
