3 Benefits to building business relationships.
From the time we are little we start building relationships. Remember going to High School? You were meeting a lot of new classmates that you built friendships with.
Many of these relationships lasted throughout your lifetime. We are there for each other to support, give advice or simply to give a hug when needed.
As you build and grow your business you will find that much like meeting new kids in school you need to meet new people. These new “friends” can help propel you to where you need to be.
How do you build these business relationships?
The number one way is to network. I know you might be thinking you can’t do it but I’m here to tell you that you not only can but you will enjoy it!
As you attend networking events you will not only find these relationships but you will gain more exposure for your business which in turn brings traffic to your website. How so?
You see friends help friends. I remember when my daughter was little. If I needed someone to watch her in order to meet a client my girlfriend was right there ready to help. I knew I could count on her and she could count on me. Women know how to build these relationships. This ability carries through to our businesses.
The more you build these relationships in business the more exposure you have. Your “friends” can’t help but talk about you and the expertise you have. You can pay a small fortune to market your business using paid ads and any number of other strategies but the number one way to get more traffic to your site is to build relationships.
It will grow your website traffic faster than anything else. When people share your information, you see a couple of benefits immediately.
First, your website traffic goes up. People are curious and want to check out who you are and what you do. Think of the new kid on the block. You couldn’t wait to find out what they were like.
Second, your credibility level improves with people. They start seeing you as the expert that you are.
Since you are building relationships your traffic multiples because new people are introduced to your content and in turn they start sharing it with others. It’s like that special recipe of yours. Once people knew it they not only use it but share it with others.
Third, Search engines will start delivering you more traffic because they see you as the authority for the topic that’s being shared.
To me this is what it means to have friends with benefits.
When you were in school and people were voting for class President you knew friends voted for their friend. Simply put friends promote friends. Why? It’s because they know and like each other and want to help in whatever way they can.
There are a variety of ways you can build these relationships and in my next post I’ll share my favorite way for doing this!
